Probably best bet for testing would be older ATI cards, or maybe SIS cards. Original TNT's aren't so common anymore so even though they don't have much in the way of practical use I hesitate to just fry them. @Carlos S.M. Thanks for starting this thread. I actually was considering starting one …

That's a much bigger list then I imagined. Are you sure that the entire list not only has a universal slot but also supports 3.3 volt cards? As I understand it there are a number of boards that do have the unkeyed slot but that don't support 3.3v.

So is the SIS 645 chipset the only Pentium 4 Chipset that legitimately supports 3.3v AGP? So far all the boards I've seen that are confirmed to work are the same SIS chipset, but I see a lot of VIA chipset boards on ebay with unkeyed AGP slots.

In my opinion, don't even try it before replacing all the water pipes. I have drowned 3 computers because of water cooling and it sucks every time. Better yet, replace that old water cooling kit with air cooling, since you can get much quieter fans nowadays anyway. That's why I've never messed with …

What do you plan on doing with this machine? Most of those cards would be fine for a high end DOS machine but once you get into Windows Games I don't thing any of them will cut it unless your talking about except for maybet he Rendition for RRedline based games.
