Many still much older boards run with Coppermines too but when the VRM is not compliant with the later Coppermines you can run them on 1.8volt (which is only a slight overvoltage). Both Abit Slocket!!! AB-FC370 and Gigabyte GA-6R7+support the last generation Coppermine cpu's. The SP 370 slotket on Ebay is an earlier model designed for 66mhz Celeron. Re Motherboard: my vote goes to the Asus P3V 4X (rev 1.02).

It is possible that later productions (like week 47) were already fixed in the factory. If the jumper settings are set correctly for the voltage of the cpu there should be no harm; it will run or it will not run.

Maybe your slotket is modified to support Coppermines by a previous owner. There is no harm in trying. As far as I have seen it is so that the majority of slotkets that were manufactured up to say +/-week 45 of 1999 were not supporting Coppermines. But some that do support Coppermines out of the box …
