As long as the voltages are the same you'll be just fine. Definitely swap the original connector over to make life simpler.

There's a lot of boards that ether refuse to post or don't function properly with a dead CMOS battery. I'd start by changing the battery and go from there. If it's a soldered on barrel battery make sure it hasn't leaked and I'd remove it regardless and replace it

Abit made great motherboards I wish they were still around today. I've had my Abit kt7a-raid for many many years and that system is still rock solid and my son gets a ton of use out of it.

Since it's been parked I've been slowly working through the rest of the truck and doing needed repairs that way as soon as I can get the trans done she'll be safe and reliable for family hauling …

Have you tried the Radeon card in another system? I would be surprised if the Radeon was flaky those cards ran hot and ATI didn't use great coolers and alot of those cards cooked to death sadly.
