What brand is the microwave? Sometimes the cheapy ones skimp on shielding and power filtering.

It looks like it could work. I had a thought if you can't find a suitable replacement you can wire in a switch to select ether the speakers or headphones

Excellent news!! Since it is the headphone jack it should just be a matter of desoldering the old one and installing a new one and your good to go.

Not a problem I hope we can get this solved for you. I just had an idea looking at the picture of the headphone jack board. Using some short jumper wires jumping the connections for the speakers in the connector on that board bypassing the headphone jack to see if sound will come out of the speakers …

That could definitely be the issue. If the headphone jack is bad then that would explan why there's no sound from the speakers. See if you can look inside the jack maybe something is stuck inside it or pins are touching or shorted

It's good they work this is kind of a odd issue with this. Do you have continuity between the speaker connector back to the amp chip?

It's probably a safe bet the amp chip is good if the headphone jack is functional. Have you tried checking the speakers themselves to make sure there not dead

I wouldn't think it would be considered piracy since you can download most drivers from the manufacturer for free generally.

Excellent build as usual. I always wanted one of those cases back in the day. I have a bunch of ultra branded things including the Ultra x-connect 500 watt modular power supply currently powering my abit kt7a-raid based Athlon system.

Does the headphone and sub out go through the amp chip? If they do the speakers themselves could just be dead if everything else works but them

If there just bent and not broken then you can use a thin stiff pin or utility blade to gently separate them.

That's an old picture look at how young John is there's no way it's from when he was making doom3. The Silicon Graphics/Integraph InterView 28hd96 color monitor dates back to 94 and the SGI workstation he's using us also early to very early mod 90s

Yes they had 16:9 crt monitors. John carmak used one while he was developing Quake it was a 26 inch 1080 in 95. https://www.geek.com/games/john-carmack-coded … n-1995-1422971/

Good catch. From what I read the chipset in his laptop does support the feature so odds are it's fine.
