Wish there was more documentation on early "Dual Core" games. I guess dual core stuff didnt become popular in PC gaming till the Core 2 Duo/Athlon 64 x2 came out.

Yeah a DOS/NT4 would be a cool system. OR im sure you could get some very good money for this system. Socket 8 systems are rare these days.

The only real purpose of a Dual CPU stuff was workstation/server things. I have never used a Dual Pentium rig so i dont know, but can the games even use the 133mhz from the other CPU? I would figure no.

Yeah, the screen resolutions and such. Also the 2d Quality is really good. I should say i have the AGP version.

It seems your NVS280 gets better score the better the CPU you put it. I got a score of 3667 with a 800mhz P3. Compared to a 7000ish to a Geforce4 Ti 4400. I found the 3d performance bad in some games with a slower P3. But the image quality was so good. Also great for DOS surprisingly.

Well simply its just another the PC has to access. It seems so impractical really. No matter what having the cache built into a CPU was always the better route. Im sure others can talk more about all this.

I don't think regular 486s came in retail boxes. I have never seen one, or a picture of one ever.

I have personally never had an issue with UT99 on my GF4 4400. I only use the latest version though aka GOTY edition. With 28.32 drivers the only big issue i run into are with games that requirement Texel Alignment. Which are very few in the DX6 range of games, and some of them have patches to fix …

Damn thats crazy. I had this issue before with a GT 430. It works just fine in all my systems, but one computer will not boot with it in it.

Have you tried un OCing the P3 in the AOpen system? Using less RAM. Im trying to think of anything really.

You should also pop one of those Core 2 E6700 in there too. Much better than that Celeron.

A 775 Mobo might not work well with SB16 emu is my guess. Or like Kamerat said maybe theres an IRQ setting in BIOS.

So I just tested Duke II. I had to enable Adlib sounds to get the gun sound. With Sound Blaster sounds only it didn't work. The other sounds did just not the gun. So i enable both the adlib and sound blaster sounds.
