It does not matter. Both TTL and COAX are full-fledged proper S/PDIF. They differ in signal amplitude only. Check if the board has faster RAM chips installed. Has 3.6ns Hynix TSOP chips. But Ive seen LE's with 3.3ns chips too... so I guess faster RAM is not an indicator of a real 8500. The faster RAM can potentially support the 275 mhz mem clock of non LE cards. Non LE cards won't come with 4ns RAM.

I usually build machines around compatibility more than performance, so you may want to keep in mind which software titles you aim to run which are picky. For instance, you may want to stay on AGP if you're targeting Splinter Cell and PT.

The CT4810 doesn't support either sideband option for DOS audio emulation. The driver uses EMM386 to intercept hardware calls and route them to the card. Ironically, Creative Labs only produced one family of cards which support SBLink -- AWE64 PCI or AWE64D sounds cards.
