Re: Small problem with RPi2 and LA emulation

Thanks, I think I've found out the culprit. The PCB reads Raspberry Pi B+ v1.2 . Seems like I got the B+ instead of Pi 2.. Visually they are quite similar and since I have never taken the case apart, I didn't notice (got it as complete "Pi 2" set). Oh, well.. But so is life. *sigh* Anyway, thank …

Re: CVX-2 : covox adapter

It would definitely be a tricky project. I had considered output impedance on the port, although I wasn't sure if it would be surmountable. Different logic levels would make it even more of a tangle.

Re: CVX-2 : covox adapter

You'd be able to drive anything compatible with the voltage swing and max current supply of the opamp. Generally, that includes line level inputs and some headsets. Any speakers or headphones which demand higher voltage or higher current from their supply would need another amplifier in the …

Re: CVX-2 : covox adapter

But the output of the DAC would still be too low to drive a line-out, headphones or speakers, right? In which case you'd need another amp for that. But if you were to connect the resistor ladder to such an amp, you'd get the same advantages of buffered output and stabilized/consistent output anyway …
