SVN 3993 after patching with pixel-perfect alpha2. Yes MSYS, from Windows 7. Everything working correctly when applying other patches like Nuked-OPL.

Thanks ripsaw8080, The X branch sounds closer to the real hardware but still not accurate, and yes, the source in sblaster.cpp and mixer.cpp differs a lot. I think it will be over my head to do something about it lacking the programming abilities.

OK, I will test my own patch on the unmodified SVN revision 3989. I used the same guide. Note the patching command I mentioned is not in the guide (although it should be). Just download anything from the "DOSBox Patches" sub-forum and have a look.

No problem, I volunteer to compile dosbox with nuked-opl, pixel-perfect and all the bells and whistles. Once Ant_22 is done with the overlay scaling problem.

The CT2230 has a lot of background hiss. What mixer chip you have CT1745A or CT1745A-S? The CT1745A-S is quieter. Yes, the AWE 32/64 has the same topology as the SB16, it is basically a fancy upgraded SB16 Vibra. Why didn't you like the CT2230?
