I don't own any modern macs. Has anyone tried replacing Siri's voice with HAL's? ETA: So I managed to stealborrow an iPad. Here's fun: try asking "Open the pod bay doors please Siri". Try it several times.

I get depressed when someone else snags an auction I was bidding on. I don't know about 'anti-depressants' though. It can't be healthy to dose yourself with powerful psychoactive drugs. What's wrong with just getting drunk?

Does anyone use surround sound anymore? At one time that was going to be a big thing but then it all died away. The widespread use of headphones in online gaming probably has something to do with it.

My dual 3.6 GHz Xeon rig scores 1.05 in Cinebench 11.5 x64, which sounds about right. From what I gather, two single-core Irwindales should perform identically to a single dual core Smithfield of the same frequency and cache. (Both are based on the Prescott core.)

Wasn't Brazil making its own computers in the 70s and 80s? I believe the country had very high tariffs on foreign computers in that era.
