Then I suggest looking for maybe a BX chipset board and a PIII 500-600 or so. The Celeron 333 should also work in the BX board for a couple of chipset comparisons to your LX board. I did not use fastvid. I would use fastvid, it improves performance quite a bit. I recall Phil (or maybe someone else) explicitly not using fastfid in their benchmarks for some reason. It looks very similar to mine (from a Packard Bell Multimedia C110). Although it looks like yours has a MIDI header (mine doesn't). Can't speak for yours, but mine turned out to be an excellent SB Pro clone. Mine had a Yamaha OPL3 chip too (can't tell on yours).

Just a note for future reference-- On the Sound Blaster 16 Vibra (CT2800) with a MIDI header, the SB16 Vibra-specific drivers don't seem to see the MPU-401 interface in DIAGNOSE.EXE. The latest SB16 (non-Vibra) drivers do. So if you have a Vibra, skip the Vibra drivers and go straight to SB16. 😉
