How is "because it has more ALU resources (ie. eight actual Integer threads)" statement invalid ? I added "(ie. eight actual integer thread)" part to clarify that. I use additional thread count (compared to normal Quad Core), as a "ALU resource" (I know, I'm not good at wording myself sometimes).

More threads also does not necessarily mean more ALU resources. Eg, a Phenom X6 has 6 cores with 3 ALUs each. That is 18 ALUs in total. An FX8xxx has 8 cores with 2 ALUs each, which is only 16 ALUs. Also i don't get why it's so hard to get a score above 20000\25000 on 3DMark 2000. Maybe it's a limitation of the formula it uses to calculate the score. Yes. You have to "point" device meneger to .inf file from driver's folder, and manually select your card from GPU list.

I didn't tested them in Web browsing or Video playing, only in 3DMarks 🙁 Also, 4670 was paired with OC'ed Core 2 series CPU.

I don't own 4350 AGP, but 10.2 (with manual install) works with my 4670 AGP : LINK Driver file should be in C:\ATI\"10.2"\Packages\Drivers\Display, or similar.

OSes may have become heavier since, but CPUs have increased in performance faster than that. Even on a single-code Pentium 4 , an OS like Windows 7 doesn't take much CPU. As long as you have enough memory, a single graphics application can still make almost full use of the processing power . …
