GPU-z displays TMU number from 6.7 version and can show/record VRAM usage. Newer CPU-z can do benchmark tests on CPU.

780 Ti (OC'ed) vs. Win XP 3DMark scores : '03 : LINK '05 : LINK '06 : LINK 80% of 780 Ti is still better than GTX 590 😀 As for AGP : I would go 2600 XT GDDR3 or X1950 Pro (but more power in PSU is needed fot it) as max Pentium 4 GPU. 6600/7300 GT ([G]DDR3), are better balance tho.

But, FX4000 already has all 16PS/6VS active ? No point in moding since there is nothing to mod. U can update BIOS in it to be seen as 6800 GT (no "FX" needed here), or make it more like 6800 Ultra (400MHz/1100MHz), but that is about it. Was thinking about X79 Chipset driver 😀 Sorry about not writing it more visible. I know XP will support AHCI on some chipsets, but I don't think X79 is one of them 😉

Only benchmark I have found that favors Prescotts is 3DMark06, I don't have enough CPUs to do a good comparison but it seems to be about 600Mhz faster that a Northwood has to be for it beat a Prescott 3DMark06 score and about 200Mhz with a Gallatin so I don't think its just the cache making …

I'm pretty convinced that the Prescott is better than the Northwood for decoding H.264 video, at least in VLC player anyway. It matters because those videos are marginal on a P4. I modified my description, but I don't think U can get a non-Registered 2GB DDR1 ECC modules/sticks. + U can also tell that mine are Registrated type, from letter "R" in "PC3200R".
