Cut the SuperCap off my SEGA NAOMI arcade board before it can leak. Replaced the CR2032 on same board. Swapped the RAM in the NetDIMM to 512mb. General NAOMI cleaning since I pulled it out.. Trying to get the NAOMI net tools onto my NAS so I can netboot games off the NAS straight onto the NAOMI... …

one thing to note, I'd go into the directory ctcu is in, use the patched one to setup its config, this creates the ctpnp.cfg (I think thats it, off top of my head) file. once you exit ctcu with awe64 configured, copy that file to c:\ so when you run ctcm it fints id, it looks in current directory.

Games that hang... could be games that require pentium level instruction sets. I ran into this on my last 486 build. more often than not ones that would persistantly hang needed a pentium class. which games persistantly hang (ie: its repeatable, ALWAYS)

@i386, I actually disabled the motherboard cache (it is 1MB, 4x256kb + 1 tag chip) since the cpu is doing the caching. This is not the 2mb board. (it has the chip outlines but not the correct chips for 2mb) anandtech actually reviewed the 2mb board and it made no worthwhile difference over the 1mb …

Recorded Vangelis - Chariots of Fire on my SoundEngine + SC88VL to do some comparisons. The waveform on the soundengine seems much cleaner. I hexedited Norton Utilities ncache2.exe to work under dos 7.10, got sick if it telling me it wont run under windows dos, since I run 7.10 stand alone without windows I dont care about its error message. Now it works 😜 🤣. Simple 1 byte change.
