did you use CTCM to configure the card? its the most "trustworthy" official way.

very cool. I had a pizzabox sparcstation5-110 i spent years looking for a 170mhz cpu for that, never found one. It sat next to my HP C240 with its PA-Risc cpu that was really neat. Liked Solaris much more than HPUX ha! 😀

you know.. I am the Sarien author, I started Sarien and wrote most of the code ... I developed it on Linux so I dont know what libraries the DOS port uses. and I know it wasnt Claudio who did the dos port so shrug.

its fine. you should be able to have it just play any sample when you need. Check the player routines api. it might even have just a play wav file api support.

dosbox dos is limited. best thing to do is just run 4dos as a command interpreter in dosbox. if you do run dos6.22 hd image in dosbox you loose all the extra functionality (like mount, etc)

Could you make the mpu401 intelligent mode available? prince of persia for example needs that to run with MT32. well the /public/DASGroup/products/OMB-PER/ombperd.exe is all dos install + setup + config software. Is that the one you tried? I've had several GPIB cards, both isa + pci. your isa card is generic, it has generic NEC gpib chip so should work with anything, as long as you know its irq + address. …

um I mount multiple floppy disk images in dosbox all the time.. just use the swap disk command to change images. ctrl-f4 or something. its in imagemount. imgmount a: disk1.img disk2.img disk3.img disk4.img -t floppy cltr-f4 goes to next image.

old windows 2k etc knows if the executable is a win32 NE/PE executable or a DOS NTVDM executable and does what it needs
