Oh yeah, I forgot about that; you're right. Some games use 320x240 too right? But either way, it's still kind of a personal preference thing.

Aspect=true is not dependent on the game, but, rather, whether you, the user, want square pixels or round circles.

The mouse setup you have there is almost guaranteed not to work since PS/2 signaling is different from that used for serial, and the USB-PS/2 adapter almost certainly only uses PS/2 signaling.

Oh, I thought you meant "sound advice" as in "good advice" 🤣 I can vouch for the 2770; it's a very nice sounding card and works quite well in DOS. Just don't use Creative's mixer driver; use SBMIX which doesn't install itself in memory.

It's definitely CBR. I can watch the bitrate on the streaming server; it drops to 95 or 94 every once in a while, but only for about a second. I don't know why it does that, but it's not ABR. Yes, I should try AAC or something - my streaming software can use AAC (in addition to FLAC and Vorbis, btw) …

I agree with Scali. Collision and physics routines are critical as far as speed is concerned. I think they should be coded from scratch and optimized for non-FPU systems - and we can still have pretty realistic physics anyway, just take advantage of natural laws and equations that we know and mimic …
