Heya, On one of my P2 systems I had to bend all of the PCI brackets for them to slot in properly because the mobo was too low down. On a P3 mobo in the same case the PCI slots don't need any adjusting. Is this normal? Thx

Get a V5 if you want resolutions like 1280x1024 for gaming in Glide. Otherwise you get pretty much the same experience in the lower resolutions with V3's.

It's okay I fixed it! I removed the Fast voodoo drivers and instead installed: 06 Jul 2004 Voodoo2 V1.02.01b (based on V1.00.00b Direct3D) from falconfly.de, they're the last drivers in the list. Everything is perfect now 😀 Hope this discovery helps anyone else in the future.

Thanks guys, I was using some crappy old grey cable. I replaced it with a snazzy blue gigabyte cable with finer cable lines and it seems to be working alright now.

I just have the bios on auto detect. I'm using a standard IDE cable (not sure what 80 conductor means) and the jumpers are set correctly.

Hmmmmm. I just managed to get past installation and get windows 2000 booting, but then it blue screened with 'inaccessible boot device'. Maybe I need to force a small partition like Phil recommends (Which I haven't tried yet).

Actually now it's down to 'whatever OS I can get to work' I've been trying all night to get windows 2000 / xp / 7 *anything* to install. This seems like a very strange combination. If you want to run 2000, XP, or 7, why limit yourself to a Slot 1 build? Anything that can take advantage of the dual CPUs will probably run much better on faster hardware anyway. I suppose faster hardware might not have the AGP support for the Voodoo 5, …

Thanks. I actually contacted the Korean guy and purchased the adapters by themselves since I already have 2x 1.4ghz S's. I'm fairly confident I can follow his instructions on soldering them correctly. We'll see.
