Today I got the new thermal pads and rounded/shielded pata cable. I re timed the 6800 and the mosfet heatsinks.

I'm not a big fan of XP nor do I own a copy. I'll be running 2k pro and centOS in a VM on the system. If Vbox 1.5.3 plays well with centOS 6. If not I may go the other way around. but I don't know how well old games will pay in a VM. I'll find out.

Getting there. I don't like all the sata cables. But I could not think of a better way to do them without zip tie anchors.

Most fx cards can't have there fan speed controld thought and app. If recommend a artic nv4, there like 20$

You should always file a mail fraud and ic3 report with events like this. I love it when the Feds come to my door asking for more info with the case so they can arrest the scammer! You can also call up there local police and file a report too.

Yah, you really have to have a nice system to truly hear a real difference. Not just the speakers but the DAC/amp too. But speakers make the biggest difference. If you don't mind a small project I'd get some older book shelf speakers and refome them and recap the crossovers (if they have any) …

WAV. plain and simple, works on just about everything. Literally no difference between WAV and FLAC except FLAC is half the size of WAV. Flac requires more cpu usage to paly and or ram and a plugin/app or a newer media player. True wav is bigger as it's not compressed like flac, but I'll stick with …
