I was thinking some how the cmos/bios battery? But I don't know. I really doubt that the cmos could do that on its own, there must be a cap holding a charge somewhere and likely in the psu. Sure that it wasn't another system else where in the room? Not another system. It's the only one I have with …

Nice looking system! I'd get a fdd and cd drive that matches the case, but that's it. You cable management is grate too, you don't see that much around here too!

I'd buy one right now, but I'm not sure if one could play lemmings on an 8080 and with 256k of ram? I think is needs a 286 and 512k of ram? If anyone knows if lemming can be played on such a setup let me know and I'll nab one up.

Just be sure to list for sale somewhere before junking it. you never know, maybe someone like me might live close to you and buy it to fix up or for parts. On a side note, don't put hardware on top of ESD bags. The outside of ESD bags are conductive unlike the insides.

installed that china union ms-dos 7.1 on my c3 system. I'm waiting in a pata cd drive I can use to get windows installed. I can't get a sata dvd drive working in dos. oddly it see's my sata hdd but not the dvd drive.

Can you replicate the beeps at all? No. Do you press the power button after yanking the power to be sure that all of the capacitors are discharged? The system does not have a power button at this point in time. But the PSU has bleeders and after sitting unplug for about 1 hour you'd think all power …

I was working on my via pc about one hour ago, as always I pull the power cord after I'm done using a pc. Then out of nowhere an hour later it starts to beep. It's beeps twice with a short pause between the 2 beeps. Then a long pause fallowd by two more beeps, then one last long pause and 2 more …

Ok so the drive is a bad. I pulled it to test the drive on another system and found a half missing smd restor. Well I was thinking of getting new caps for a few motherboards, might as well toss in a smd resistor as well.

I setup a dialup server on a w2k box before, I don't recall how I did it, but it worked with my dreamcast. Might be worth a looking into.

I can eject the disk in the bios with I have it set to boot from it. could it be a pio or dma thing? Like do I have to set then up in the bios? of just keep it on auto? I kind of want to just buy a older fdd ls drive just to keep things simple. I know there slow, but...
