So that memory card theoretically allows to add up to 64MB of RAM (8x 8mb)? Cool. I guess the stored settings for the 386 card are not compatible with the 486 card. You could erase them, but not without making a back-up of them or noting them down first, so you can restore the original 386 settings …

It's also possible to get cheap USB adapters for controllers of older consoles such as the Sega Saturn, Nintendo N64, and Sony Playstation 1. The controllers can then be set up like any game pad. It works flawlessly in Windows XP.

Even 128MB might be too large, depending on how new the chipset is. When I tried a single sided 128 MB stick in a Pentium II, I had to update the BIOS to even get the stick recognised. Although the system is stable with it, the memory isn't counted during POST despite the option being enabled in …
