Just got this ATI VGA Wonder+ 512KB Filename IMG_0664.JPG File size 143.12 KiB Views 1637 views Will test it in a 486 system some time this week 😀 If it works, I'll probably reserve it for a 286 or 386 system Does the 45 MHz crystal mean it runs at that speed?

From a programmer's point of view, it is possible to have up to 4 floppy drives in a system, but I have never seen a controller that can take 4 FDD. I think you would need a dedicated controller for the third drive, but not sure how you could set it up in DOS or Windows, as they usually expect C …

Does anyone know how memmaker detects free UMBs? Is there any way I can find out what UMB regions are free on various retro systems running MS-DOS 6.2? Trying to find a reliable and transferable way to maximise my free memory beyond what memmaker can do.

I've paid over £100 for retro motherboards, and my most expensive collectable CPUs were more than that. $100 for an AMD Thunderbird Slot A 1 GHz, $150 for a SUPER Chips J38600DX-33 MHz rev A, the list goes on 😀 If I want something bad enough, I will find a way 😀

My 486 heatsinks have clips that hold the fan onto the CPU, with the heatsink sandwiched in place. I was looking for ages for suitable heatsinks, and bought 4 when they were listed for a realistic price. I will use them on builds from 486DX33 up to 5x86-133 (which will be overclocked).
