The Asrock 775i65G is good for 533Mhz but would not go that route if you already have some boards that support 800Mhz soc775, get a different cpu. The Asrock Penryn1600 does support 533 but it is limited to the earlier BIOS versions....... I have thousands of CPUs, just want to test/benchmark them …

I don't think the card supports Tualatin CPUs. That means the SL5ZE and SL64V won't work with it.

What motherboard (or chipset) is best for overclocking a 533 MHz FSB Prescott chip? I have a few boards that can do 800 up to 1333 or 1600, but none that are specced for 533.

I says it is non volatile RAM, which means it should store data when the system is off. As such, I would say it has a battery in it. I would change it just as a precaution. It could have been a factory remark, if NVidia ran out of MX400 chips and used MX200 chips that passed testing.

It always takes a little fiddling to plug then in. The little nubs are meant to make the connection more secure (ie harder to accidentally pull the cable out), but as most users keep their cases closed, it seems pointless.

I didn't know SL2z4 were Tillamook. CPU-World says they are 2.5V, guess they are wrong.

I hope the 12887+ is fully compatible, as I bought 10 of them 😀 I also wondered whether the 12C887 is compatible, as I believe the 12C887+ would be the newest of the lot (and therefore most likely not to have a battery failure)

I used an NE2000 compatible and an RTL8139 without issues in Win 9x days. Both were automatically detected.
