I've been playing more, and it's very strange, most of the time the music will be fine, then one round will start and the drums are wrong, and then it'll go back to normal the following fight. So it seems it's quite random. Weird.

Hmm, I will see if I can try and find some documentation about the header on this card, but I can say that it plays every other game I've tried, without issue, such as Doom and Duke 3D, and without needing softmpu. I need to put my Mushkin ram through memtest, to see if it's bad at all, because even at 5:4 high latency fsb divider @ 213mhz, it causes consistent ati driver failures in 3dmark2001. Well, I'm going to find out, picked up a card with 8x8MB chips for €5. Speed and bit-wise the same as the V3. My friend said it might work, as the higher capacity chips just have more address lines active. It can't make things worse at least 🙄

Do you know of a cheap vram donor device? I've been trying to find something with the same ram chips, but not had much luck yet. My friend definitely has the skills and tools, but that doesn't help if we don't have a donor.
