Ok I have two VRAM chips on this board. They each have a number on top and it be below it. The top number is 9531. The bottom number is V53C16258HK50. There is some on eBay I could get but the top number is different and the bottom number is the same except for its 6HK50 at the end instead of 8HK50. …

Well I just took out the 2 vram chips and switched them. So still using same chips but in the opposite sockets and it is working fine now! Why would this be? Were they just not seated well to begin with maybe?

I have installed a Trio64v+ into a Windows 95 machine. It works fine in DOS mode but for some reason when in Windows I am getting all kinds of multi colored lines on the screen. It happens at every resolution and refresh rate setting. I will post pics to show what I am dealing with in next post once …

Looks like Pitfall was released for Win3.x in 1994. So are there any advantages to the Windows 95 version which was released in August 95? Cyber speed looks like it may be one of the first exclusives being released in December.

The more command has actually been working for me great with just a default install of Dos 5. Have only made a few memory adjustments in the config and autoexec files so far otherwise.

How is the image quality in the book? if it's a full page, I'd scan it at 600 dpi and take it to a print shop to blow it up. The color is quite faded looking in …

I did try another monitor and power supply. Same result. It is definitely something going on with the VGA card. I don't know if its a capacitor problem maybe?

Thanks I will check into those things. I have already switched around slots and even switched motherboards and still same result. I will switch power supplies and check the chips tonight though.
DOS 5.0 MEM /C/P Issue

I am having an issue with a period correct 1992 machine that I've built (which is why I am using 5.0 and not 6.22). Not so much an issue but a DOS 5.0 limitation that I am trying to work around. Not sure if there is a way that I am not aware of but I am wanting to run the MEM command with the /C/P …
