Sounds fine to me. What are your ambient temps btw? I wouldn't worry though. I like the cooler on yours. I have the single fan Verto version which I think is a reference card. Man the fan is annoying on that.

AFAIK the 5900 is known for running higher idle temps than what you might experience today, what is your cooler like?. I have a 5900 so I can check for you later if you like, but it doesn't sound like you have a problem.

Great! Update with how it goes if you don't mind, I changed a laptop screen recently and it's not the easiest thing to do. And mine was from 2008 so I've no idea what a 95 era one would be like.

Just be a little bit careful, I think that model of laptop has two different sizes 12.1 and 11.3. But glad to be of help 😀

A few answers: 1. There are speed sensitive DOS games. There aren't TOO many, and they are generally the older ones. You can often work around in by using CPU limiters. 2. Some cards will be better than others. You would probably want an older card than that. No one card will be absolutely perfect …

There's only two files on the disk, one is the install.exe and the other is just labelled "disk.1". I can check the file size tomorrow.

I spent ages last night figuring out why I couldn't get Tomb Raider to work with the 3dfx patch on my Voodoo 3000. Turns out the disc needs to be in the primary disc drive (but only with the 3dfx patch!). Working with old systems is such a maze sometimes, but I love it.

Not to worry, I ended up swapping in the Audician 32 and it sounds perfect. In pure DOS at least. I haven't got it working in Windows yet, not sure why, but this is tons better already. EDIT: Now working in Windows 😀
