ES1868/1868/1869 Audiodrive will give you the most options for pure DOS with zero hassle, for Win9x an AWE64 value will be a cheaper option with native GM synthesis.

For the case, there is nothing to restore. No way to remove that ugly white lacquer. That's pretty defeatiest; there are very effective ways of removing paint from plastic.. Took apart and cleaned up a HIS X1950PRO 512MB AGP with a Thermaltake AT1 mounted on top. One of the earliest examples of blower style coolers; they were common on premium ATI cards from HIS at the time.
