I read all those threads again just now and the OS and driver versions are all over the place. Win9x, NT, and W2K use different sequencing for their driver numbers. Right now, I'm testing the card on Win98SE. While there are fixes for Quake 1/2, is there not one for Quake 3 when using the Matrox …

Wouldn't this rob the General Hardware forum of a good chunk of its content? Or maybe that is the purpose? If anything, I think Hardware Projects is the one that actually deserves a forum as these tend to get buried away and require visibility more than simple repair job threads.

The Quake 2 dynamic lighting bug people here have encountered are the same that I have encountered in the past.
