sometimes the "autoconfiguration" within windows is faulty. dos-settings in plain dos can effect the card if you have a dual-boot with dos and windows. look at the system-settings in windows. look for "!". my advice is configuring the card manually within windows to the values the card has in plain …

Got this ATX case for $4 because it was on sale at a walk's distance. Not sure what to build in it. It has a Windows 2000 Pro 1-2 CPU COA sticker on it so it must be from the Pentium 3 / Athlon era.

I think Socket 7 was released (June 1995) after Intel Pentium 120 (March 1995) so anything after that is technically a Socket 7 CPU.

Running DosBOX-SVN, I can't seem to get any sound when using the MT-32 option. I am using the latest x64 version of MUNT on Windows 10 x64. Other games seem to work fine. Intelligent Mode is enabled in the config. Other games seem to work just fine with MUNT, so what could I be missing? SB emulation …

I am trading away my WT cache Am486 DX4-100 for a Cyrix 486 DX40. The DX40 would be a nice compromise between the SX/DX-33 and DX2/4 argument I guess? How good is the Cyrix DX40 chip and how likely am I to run into VLB troubles with it?

Playing the Roland freeze MIDI file from Media Player results in a buffer overflow at the 5 second mark, same as FSMP; It's either the device or the USB interface then.
