Re: Mixer for sound cards and midi modules.

Is there any models that would allow mixing at least 4 stereo inputs? Your best bet is the Behringer RX1602. It's a rack mixer designed specifically for stereo sources (up to 8 of them): https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RX1602--behringer-eurorack-pro-rx1602-rackmount-line-mixer It uses …

The Serpent Rider wrote: Palit card? I would skip that. I can't tell the manufacturer. I went through pictures of 6600 in google and it seemed like many manufacturers used exactly same board layout.

Re: Geforce 6600 cooling

I meant cheap as I only paid 20 euros for the whole pc. It was basically a blind purchase since I just wanted the case. When I got home and took it apart there was MSI K7N2G motherboard and Athlong XP 1800+, that Geforce 6600 and AWA ATX 380WF-CL psu. Basically I am thinking about if there are any …

Re: Mixer for sound cards and midi modules.

Is there any models that would allow mixing at least 4 stereo inputs? I guess that is the main question. I have seen one that had 2 stereo channels with RCA and 2 mic/line in channels with XLR, but it is hard to find one with 4 stereo channels. With MT-32 and sc-55 it would be really annoying and …

Mixer for sound cards and midi modules.

Would anyone be able to recommend a stereo mixer that would allow me to mix sound from sc-55, MT-32 and 2 sound cards? I have been trying to find one from online shops and ebay, but most seem to be using input connectors that I don't know or at least some inputs seem to mono instead of stereo, so I …

Geforce 6600 cooling

Couple weeks ago I bought a cheap Athlon PC because it had a nice looking case. It came with an AGP Geforce 6600 that works but was in bit rough shape. It had original fan missing and just something that loos like a case fan strapped on top the heatsink. Also the fan header plastic part seems to be …

Re: Voodoo 1 card in 486

I did bit of testing. I did put voodoo 1 card to 33Mhz 486 and installed tomb raider. Without 3dfx patch it is totally unplayable even with lowest details, but after I install 3dfx patch, it becomes playable really. Not the best, but playable even when I am using 486 33Mhz way below system …

Voodoo 3 and directx

It has happened to me now 3 times with different systems. I install a voodoo 3 card and after that I install win98se that comes with directx 6.1a. After installing windows I install the driver for the voodoo 3. After that when running dxdiag, it shows that there is no 3d acceleration available. I …

Re: MT-32 and power adapter question?

NES power brick would most likely fry your MT-32 because it outputs AC instead of DC. Genesis model 1 power supply seems like it might work. 10V 1.2A, negative centre and positive outside. Just one volt more than standard MT-32 power supply.

Re: Voodoo 1 card in 486

Overall a 486 is pretty slow, even on a good board, when compared to its successors. I'll see if I can test a 100mhz Pentium(fsb 50mhz) against the already established scores tomorrow. I had a i486(2x50 mhz - all settings max) running against a PII at 2x50mhz on an P2L97 and it only faired well in …

Voodoo 1 card in 486

If I were to put voodoo 1 card in a 486 pc, how many of the dos games that support voodoo1 would be playable and would there be many that you would not be able to play? I have a socket 5 pentium motherboard, so I could build pentium instead, but the motherboard is very limited when it comes to …
