Something is wrong here. When I get to that screen I see that the three knobs control the MIDI, INST, and DEV ID. When I rotate the one on the far left for MIDI Startup I get no response on the screen nor does the middle knob for Inst. Startup change anything. When I rotate the DEV ID the value goes …

I just got mine in and when I send a MIDI signal to MIDI IN 1 I get no activity from the SD-90. Does it need to be configured to play MIDI coming into it? I did a factory reset and no change. I would think that being able to do this would be on at default or not?

I agree with a few others in that I like the differences between each sound module. The more advanced sound modules sound great with complex MIDI music but when playing simple MIDI music the early sound modules often sound better in my opinion. I just read about this tech. If I am not mistaken, it seems to be used on iOS devices only. Anyone familiar with this? I have an iPad and it would be cool to have it play a MIDI and send it to one of my sound modules wirelessly if that is possible with this device. Has anyone attempted this?

PLGs are really meant for music creation. I only have the PLG150-DR (drums) and it is the best for game use, as it's simply a matter of subbing in the drum kit of your choice. A bass drum is always a bass drum, just have to pick the one you like, and the DR board generally sounds better then the XG …

1A should be plenty of power for running just the MU by itself. The unit will only draw what it needs. However, if you start installing PLG boards, then more power is needed.
