bad TAG chip would result in not working L2, L2 detection would fail completely. Chipsets have configurable non-cacheable windows. Run cachechk over whole ram, it will show you which MB is non cacheable, then you can decide if its important or not.

any visual glitches on sis/s3/trident? No miniGL on GeForce. GLQuake is using OpenGL for which GeForce provides a full ICD. The extensions expose this feature! afaik no full OpenGL support in GLQuake in the first place, and it doesnt matter if driver offers extension when GLQuake was created in 1997 …

I meant where did you get those examples from. They might not be for standard PC. Yes you need A2 because keyboard controller is expected to be at 60h and 64h.
