IIRC, the T4500C also uses these types of DRAM cards that have the same dimensions of PCMCIA cards, albeit with a different connector at the end. I think it's the only way to upgrade the memory on the 4500C and 4600C, as they do not seem to have any normal SIMM slots besides these DRAM expansion …

The general rule of thumb with this era of laptops is to take good care of the (mostly unique in length and uniquely bent) floppy/ide connectors.
