I didn't use one yet, just the install that came on it which I'm not sure was right. edit: oh the graphics drivers were sp8940 but looking for newer, they only support dx7 thinking of trying sp17515 (Ati packaged 98/2k/xp together, not sure compaq did)

Well, some screenmodes are not 4:3 with square pixels. This is a PC monitor correct? It should store corrections for different screen modes, so if you let it be the mode it wants, then you can go into the menu of the monitor and adjust the size and placement, and it will save it for that mode.
