Be interested in looking at the spec sheets between a GT and a MT. I used a MT adapter. Not sure if GT is better or not. PWLA8492MT Thats not going to work for you though as its for 3.3v slots only. I think your board only supports 5v slots. So thats something to consider.

I have a 2.2ghz M somewhere. I read they are not as good at over clocking but I might try to see if I can get 2.6ghz out of it, and maybe find some ram with tighter timings that can run 533-550mhz. Very close to beating a P4 3.8ghz with a 1.87 ghz cpu with a small over clock, that id consider stable …

Finally got some motivation and time to resume making the build. Found some cheap 2gbpair or DDR3200 that would overclock to 533 since thats close to the max the board can go. Overclocked 1.83 ghz to 2.4ghz stable. Ran some sandra benches to try and compare it to other CPUs that are in its ballpark …

interesting choice, just get a cf reader and start from there. Ya you could net boot it, but its probably more trouble than its worth. If it was my project I would spend a little more time getting all the adapters and what not, adding floppys and cds, nics, etc before i tried anything.

killer nic could be interesting. Personal experience with it was the drivers use up cpu and memory cycles just idle. So not sure what benifit it would be.

If you can get the cards hardware ID from a program like SIV, then modify the driver INF and add all of the necessary strings for your card you might have a chance. x850 is the max ATI card that works on 9x you can't use that on 9x it doesn't work.

welcome to forum. The drivers require .net 1.1 and dx9. Did you install those 2 packages? Did you install the intel chipset drivers?

all I found was the phone program. I wonder if the phone program can open them though. Or the player is bundled.
