My goto is using XP as a inbetween machine and just copying files back and forth over ethernet to and from the XP maching. XP running in a VM would work too. Its a lot less troublesume than using USB or floppys.

It manual it says what to do in the readme file. Native USB (NUSB) 2.2.1 update Only .INF file!!! Use only after installation of the NUSB 2.2 ! For installation copy the file USBSTOR.INF in the hidden catalogue folder WINDOWS\INF\ and replace the old file.

Is it 98 or 98se ? The NUSB is for 98se, I dont think it works on regualar 98 I could be wrong. Try the NUSB 2.2 Drivers from this page. You could of corrupted the install though and may have to reinstall windows before you try. The newer NUSB drivers, go to0 far imo they start adding files from XP …
