Re: MT-32 Capacitor map and list of caps?

Useful stuff - thanks for arranging this! No problem. I saw something that apparently hadn't been researched and might be needed sooner rather than later and decided I would take care of it. I've now done a video of the cap replacement with a few tips in the process in my latest video I published …

Re: MT-200 missing instruments

What firmware is loaded up in your MT-200? There were stuttering and hanging notes issues reported by another MT-200 user. I didn't have these issues and it was found out that my MT-200s both featured newer firmware revisions. I got the latest of these dumped and made the rom public for others to …

Re: Does the MT-32 have a battery?

I did not pay that much of a premium for mine. It was about $65 shipped. It was just the module alone, no power supply or cables and heck was untested but I feel pretty good about what I paid for it. I see that modules alone do seem to have a high price asked of them but I don't know how many …

Re: Does the MT-32 have a battery?

No battery and only 4 screws along the outer bottom to remove. DO NOT REMOVE the other screws along the bottom plate as those are literally the screws that hold the standoffs in place that the main MT-32 PCB is sitting on. Also you get a sense for how budget built the MT-32 is when you open it. No …

Re: MT-32 Capacitor map and list of caps?

Console5 has corrected the mis-print on the capacitor list. I've already gone one of the kits sent to me on hand and will be replacing mine out this week at some point. I might have to break down and do the MT-200 next. If I had the other modules I'd likely cover those as well, but for now at least …

Re: MT-200 missing instruments

Interesting. I honestly don't recall ever hearing that keyboard counter melody before. I also have the MT-200 and recorded Passport.mid on it and it doesn't have it either. My guess is there must be a different version of the .mid file out there that doesn't have that included? Although I had an SCB …

Re: Rolling up to HDMI - just spitballing here

I understand what you are saying. What I was trying to say if that everything that goes into the Extron is processed through the Extron with a new VGA out signal. So I haven't noticed any issues with shifting video modes when I run them through the extron since it provides the same signal coming …

Re: Rolling up to HDMI - just spitballing here

It does take up space, but it has solved a ton of my issues... Over the summer I picked up an Extron 7SC. It accepts pretty much every analog input you can imagine. And it only outputs in RGBHV a.k.a... VGA. I haven't had an issue with any VGA sources I've plugged into it and the I got the thing for …

Re: Hardware Giveaway (10zig 56xx Thin Clients)

Haven't received mine yet, but if it essentially autoboots into Dosbox. Then I'm curious how to go about getting something like my external sound module to work with it? I currently use a Roland usb-midi adapter on my windows PC now. I would assume something similar on this but it being Linux based …
