Compaq used buffered FPM and EDO DIMMs on some of their Proliant servers. At least for the Proliant 5000 different memory boards for FPM and EDO DIMS exist. HP Vectra XU 6 PPRo use 5V buffered EDO DIMM modules as well as some IBM PC series 300/700 and IBM RS/6000.

The 520 byte sectored disks are a known Problem for SCSI and Fibre Channel Drives as well. While there exists a tool to reset the sector size for (IBM) SCSI drives, I am still looking for a solution for some FC drives I purchased for my Sun Blade 2000.
