I have a MU440EX rev 1 and it would only boot from a 266 or 300Mhz cpu when I first got it due to it still had the original BIOS version 4M4UE0X1-403. What speed CPU are you trying to boot from ? Suppose it could be some issue with the cpu but I doubt it. The OPs board has an AA number which …

That's exactly the same AA number as my on Intel retail, so it's a definitely a rev 2 with AGP x2 and no, it doesn't need a special PSU - I'm currently using a old 200W 20-pin ATX.

Depending on your boards AA / PBA revision level and with the latest BIOS for whichever version that is (beginning 4M4uE0X1 or 4M4UE0X3), up to Slot 1 PII 333MHz (although it may support the 533MHz Celeron Skt 370 on a suitable slocket adapter)

I still have a couple that I used, from around that period - - Asrock K7S41GX - Foxconn (Winfast) K7S41M01C They were both fine for what they were intended; budget matx boards for spare XP systems. Don't recall any particular issues for that use, though what are you planning for your system?
