You cannot use CALL from the DOS prompt. It is just for use within .BAT batch files. Just leave the "CALL" away when you run a .BAT batch file directly from DOS prompt. Can you show the contents with TYPE C:\LIVEDOS\LIVEINIT.BAT

Your memory/cache performance seems to be poor. At 33 MHz FSB you should not have a problem to get 2111 cache timings at all. And your DRAM performance also seems to be weak. I don't give too much on a single number. Since a 486 has so many settings which will influence performance, I use that tools: SpeedSys 4.78 --> the cache chart ctcm from heise --> the values of the memory/cache access cases

If you don't get any ping with TCP/IP it either may be wrong selected cable type (BNC=COAX=RG58/AUI=DB9/TP=RJ45) or wrong IRQ. Use the card's jumpers or configuration tool.
