Uhm other than the red pcb the layout seems quite standard, I wonder what is the 4 pin near the bracket. Use Vquake to test it on dos with the rendition api.

A picture of the top of the card could be interesting. The only reason it locks up using the driver is that the card is somewhat a non standard V2200 (quite unlikely) or that the card is sadly not working. Does it works fine in dos?

I'd go with the epox, but maybe is one of the models with no support for bus >100 mhz. The dfi is on par with the Epox only if you use the modded bios from Soggi, the stock bios is slower and it has less l2 cache.

You should try with l2 cache disabled, it may allow you to reach higher fsb frequencies.

Are you doing all of these testing with the l2 cache disable I hope. The mvp3 use very tight timings on the cache and even with -4ns chips it's hard to overclock the bus over 100mhz.

I should receive the motherboard later, I suppose it will not work without the 2 caps, right? What should I do? Can I solder 2 of the caps I have just to check if it is working? They are not rated for 4700uf but something like 3x000 though

Yes you are right, I forgot it was a thermal epoxy 😁 Can you find the thermal conductivity of the epoxy? It could be compared with most common thermal pastes To have a comparison I think you'd need a motherboard with temperature sensor or put a tiny thermistor between the die and the lid.

Mh probably on 939 it works in a different way. Anyway I found the sweetspot at 250x11, with 5/6 divider, it gives 196,5 mhz. I also found a kit of 512x2 of tccd, it seems that it was the gold standard for that era, sticks with 1gb don't use premium modules.
