I have another motherboard I am working on fixing. I am cleaning it up right now getting it ready for repair. Just has one busted cap and a broken resistor leg. needs new battery too.

I pulled all the chips off the motherboard and washed with vinegar but there is still allot of green corrosion on the metal chip legs and socket connector. How can I clean this up better. Will “electronic cleaner” remove the corrosion ? The Chips cleaned up fine just the motherboard still has …

You need an operating system that supports dual CPU’s like NT 4.0 or Win2000 or WinXP. So not very good for game play. Dual CPU’s are NOT supported in Win3x or Win95, 98, ME. Not a good idea for a DOS gaming computer.

My Pentium 233mhz build. Best DOS gaming machine yet. I can disable cache to run a 386 and 486 speeds. It runs smooth and quiet like a Cadillac. And performs great.

You should try an old hard drive like the Conner IDE for that Retro clicking sound. They do not make much of a Performance difference on a 486-66 computer. The CPU will be your biggest bottle-neck in performance. This one was made in Italy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWoqtu_2ic0
