Actually, i have one ps/1 installed with wib95b and it works okay. But it has 32mb of ram and a 540mb 5400rpm EIDE drive and intel overdrive cpu 46sx2-50mhz. So it is not stock hardware. This would have costs about $6,500 in 1993

So during the install of Win3.11 WFW, if you select to upgrade from 3.1 to 3.11-WFW that will NOT give you Network support ? Right now I have it kind of hacked up I think. Well, you want to put a Pentium grade CPU on a 486 VLB motherboard. I don’t see why there would be a bottleneck with VLB video. Some VLB video cards do require a delay on boot. However I have not run into this problem. You want at least 265kb of cache on your VLB motherboard and faster cache is …

Well, I have these parts that I wanted to build with. Parts I have so far: ASUS P5N-E SLI NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI Socket 775 ATX Motherboard. Intel Core-2-Quad CPU 8gb of Nvidia SLI Ram Dual Nvidia Geforce 9600gt video cards with SLI bridge. Zalman CPU Cooler.

If you have a VLB that supports 3v and 5v CPU’s then you might be able to use an original AMD 5x86-133-P75 CPU. You just need to set the voltage for 3v and the multiplier up for 3x33mhz which is still only going to give you 100mhz total CPU speed. Most VLB motherboards do not support 4x33mhz. Or 5x …
