Okay, even with the 3 bulging caps this motherboard still works. I just need the Win2k drivers for video and audio. The audio chip is some sort of Realtech brand ? The video driver is a VIA chipset ? Might be a trident or S3 video ?

Hey, the original motherboard that was in this computer had a via chipset and a 1.4 gigahertz Celeron CPU. Do you think that motherboard would support the 1.4ghz Pentium III ? Its a Socket 370. It has 3 bad caps. Is it worth saving. I don’t know what make or model this motherboard is ? See Photos:

Yes, I want a FAST Pentium III build. Since I am going to use Win2000 I want a Fast system. Fast Hard drive, RAM, and CPU. So I want a good P-3 motherboard that can support all these features. Probably a Socket 370. And a Fast Network card. And what’s the Best Video card to use with Win2000 ?

Time to start a new project using this case. Any suggestions ? I want to use an Intel Pentium III What motherboard should I use ? I want to run Win2k. What speed pentium III should I use ? I have a NOS 300watt PSU.

Well, I had to call it quits on this build. I just could not get the motherboard to post and keyboard would not work. I was locked out.. I have not had a bad motherboard like this ever. I feel defeated but time to move on to the next build. I am not going to let this bad motherboard get me down. 🙁

I bought one of these last month. The guy had about 15 of them for sale on eBay for $30ea. I just purchased one for my IBM PS/1 which requires a 169-pin socket CPU for upgrade. The package reads it supports a 486dx4-100 or AMD 5x86-133 They are all sold out. I have not tried it yet.

I am going to give it one more try. I am going to clean the CPU and Motherboard slot-1 socket contacts with Electronics cleaner and hope that works.

The 1990's was a Magical time in Silicon Valley. Any computer company who was anyone had to be there. But It all came crashing down with the Dot.com bust of 2000's. MONOPOLIES brought down Silicon Valley Tech sector. Silicon Valley Never recovered since then.

Those AMD network cards are pretty good. I have some HP Night Director PCI cards and they work out of the box in just about every OS. This one might be auto detect in Win 3.11 WFW.
