I don't want to insist on this, as it would seem I want to say "look, my card is the first card with a heatsink on", I honestly don't care about it. But for "scientific" purposes we need to clarify. According to VGA-Museum website, the Weitek 9100 is from 1994 where the Ati Mach32 is from 1992. 😀

I never heard anyone complain that the Compaq 3500 isn't a 3500... because it is! 😀 Btw, during the initial boot, on the Vbios splash screen, what does it say? 3000 or 3500? I had one but I don't remember...

I have a ATi Mach 32 with a heatsink on, allegedly from 1992. But I think there might be even older cards with passive cooling. As per Active cooling maybe a 3dfx Banshee?
