Bought a NexGen NxVL chip. Fortunatelly, the one on my board is working, but given rarity of NexGen stuff having a spare one might prove to be handy. That's also suggests there must be a motherboard without one at large ....

Yes, it Does. See my Pentium chipset comparison how it compares. Not 430FX performance, but still a nice boost.

I got one. You don't need to "activate" the slot in any way. You either install COAST or SRAM chip and the motherboard will pick it up.

Surprised there even was a P54C version of the P120. I remember when the P120 announced the 0.35 μm process that made it possible was a major part of the press coverage. Despite using the same die area as P54C (and thus the P54CQS). I'd assume they later switched to P54CS and not the other way …

Thanks. Generic 1.0 drivers from the above site do seem to work. Although, 24bit isn't stable to complete my tests. 8/16bit work well. The card showed indeed very nice performance. In DOS it matches high-end cards and trails only Bali32 (ARK1000PV card). In Windows performance is almost S3 864level. …

Chances are that the real P120, that has been manufactured using more efficient process will run cooler and be more stable that the overclocked P90 part. Those CPUs cost peanuts so I'd personally use the real thing just for good feeling.

Looking for Windows 3.1 drives for the following card: https://dependency-injection.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/DSC_8501-1-scaled.jpeg It is quite uncommon card. This one is ExpertColor DSP64300. Some other cards sharing the same chip include Boca Research Voyager and maybe more. Anyone has them?

Nice one. I'd say DEC Alpha 21066. It is quite cool motherboard. Note there is no chipset. Just Intel SIO. The PCI controller and northbridge is in the CPU.

The above is not 386/486 socket. It is a 486 board with Weitek coprocessor socket and likely Opti slot. The 386 socket has different number of pins.

C&T Wingine based VLB card. Note total of 2MB of DRAM + 128kB of cache DRAM for improved host performance. Can't wait to see how it performs in DOS.

Bought FX-3000 one of this early 486 boards with proprietary local bus slot. Sadly it doesn't have 386 socket fitted, but it might be possible to solder one in.
