I'm not sure what issue is. I checked some of the levels that you stated had no music with my CD copy. The music worked just fine for me. Ok, I think I may have found another issue. The Gravis PC Gamepad has two switches on it, one on the top and one on the bottom of the controller. Try switching them both to the left. Many DOS games are not able to use controllers with more than two buttons, so this may be all you need.

I believe that the DOS drivers have to be installed before the joystick port will work. These can be found on the original cd, which can be found on vogonsdrivers.com (I'm not sure of your card's model number, so I can't link them directly). The patches on Creative's site do not have the pure dos …

Whenever I quit the game a message pops up saying that an invalid page fault occurred in module A3D.dll. It shows this message whether I have a3d mode turned on or not.

That's actually very cool! EDIT: Looks like I actually needed that link. I like to use a Rage Pro Turbo under Windows 98, mainly for compatibility. They really aren't as bad as many people say they are. It's really just about finding the right drivers/directx versions.

The win98 drivers can still be downloaded from AMD. However, they require directx 8.1 to work correctly. I found the older win95 compatible driver on archive.org from ati.com. Im going to try to find it again.
