you guys have luck in USA, looks like in your country the retro cases were produced with materials that don´t turn yellow like a cardboard. In here all the cases were imported from china, made of cheap plastic, common designs that you always see on google photos, hence all old pcs are yellow.

I own a ct1740 on the front of the card the model says ct1740, it has the yamaha chip, it did not come with ASP, it only has the empty socket, and DSP is 4.05 now on the back of the card, the white sticker says CT1730.

i think the original motherboard was swaped i can't imagine a company like acer jumping into a legal battle and bad reputation for selling computers with fake cache..OR USING PCCHIPS AS a supplier for their pcs, besides acer used to build their own boards

nice work! you can test on pure DOS to see if you get sound out of it. i will try to buy those 2 cards for my msi. changing 2200uf caps instead of 2700uf will not harm the agp slot card or whatever powers it?
