I don't know what country you're in but have a read on what consumer protection law might apply. Even if it's not a blanket 2 year minimum warranty on electronics, you may have something like "fit for purpose" where you would reasonably expect a correctly used TV to last longer than 18 months.

Well, I used the same two old IDE cables. Connected the CDROM to the IDE1 as master and the CF card to IDE0 as master... and it found the CDROM.
