You could maybe try to have a fun with programming. Use Borland Turbo C (which is completely free to downoad and legal from their website) or try to use Turbo Pascal - fun as well. Write some games.

@up - thanks. This CD-ROM could have some serious value for most of retro fans (including me). I think :) The same is the controller. I will put back the controller and the graphics card. Thanks, I will check the jumpers. This is 32 bit Pentium class machine. Socket 7. Now it has 75 MHz cpu, but I plan to put 133 MHz Pentium. However after a short investigation it think the best choice is to put S3 graphics with 2 MB of video ram and install Windows 95 on it.

Heh, that was my first thought. And I did some calculations, it is able to work in 800x600 mode using 8 bit color. It has 512 KB of video memory 😁 It seems to be an ideal card to work with MS-DOS & text mode. 😊

I will give a try with MS-DOS 6.22 + MSCDEX. Then will install Windows 95. EDIT: I did it! It was the way to go! I had to install MS-DOS 6.22, then MSCDEX. Now I'm installing Windows 95 from an original CD.

Yeah, I had the same situation years ago with my Compaq Presario CDS, but the CDROM was detected if I'am correct. EDIT: Maybe I should buy some sound card and then attach the CDROM to it?
