Of course you can. A simple ESD is all that is needed to damage or destroy electronics. However, no one can really answer that based on your information. It there a battery (coin cell) on the SBC? If so, remove it and short the battery terminals for some seconds. That should zap all BIOS settings. …

I had a bad experience using CF as a IDE drive on Amiga, Compact flash standard is not 100% IDE compatible and in some situation not workin. i had bad Amiga story about cf... i prefer to use a genuine ide hard drive or a Disk on module directly cinnected on the mainboard.

My board is capable for sure, the only cpu that can’t handle is the Pentium Overdrive. Is a SBC 486 really good equipped. The only bad thing is that not have a ZIP Socket and i must use some tool to detach the DX2 Cpu that is actually inserted

The P24D is a 486DX2-66 with write-back L1 cache, the "S" indicates that the chip supports power management features.
