There is no need to shrink wrap the entire switch, just heat shrinking the spade connectors individually is perfectly sufficient and how most manufacturers did it back then

Very high. A short like that would have only damaged the sd card adapter or psu, but both are still working so you should he just fine. No display is exactly what you would get with a corrupted BIOS image

Absolutely. If you cut back the shrink wrap you will probably find the same size spade connectors as are on your case's switch and just move them over

like darry said, the 16-bit slot is just an 8-bit slot with some additional address, data, and control lines even if a 16-bit card won't function properly in an 8-bit slot, there is no way it could damage anything (unless the overhanging card edge were to short against something)

XP SP3 (fully updated with all non-SSE2 POSReady 2009 updates I might add) runs just fine on my 2xPPro@233MHz system with 512MB EDO RAM it's not sluggish at all really

my 368sx at 16MHz keeps almost identical pace to my 286 at 15MHz both are on nice, fast VLSI chipsets running 0WS

at 33MHz in the first pic your L2 cache gets about the same throughput as the main memory on my 486dx33 you should try to reduce your cache and memory wait states if possible

XP Pro is what I run on mine 2k would also be a good choice if you don't have at least 512MB RAM for XP

I can't definitively say they don't exist, but I have never once in 25 years of doing this seen a motherboard that uses a rechargeable EXTERNAL battery

Also in your first pic the RCA plugs are not plugged in all the way I think that's the whole point x3 pretty sure that adapter is wired incorrectly, as with no ground connected there should be no audio at all? the channels probably get shorted together somehow hence why it gets louder when you …

The line output on sound cards is not meant to drive headphones. You should try hooking it up to powered speakers or an AVR Also in your first pic the RCA plugs are not plugged in all the way
